Hi and thanks for the query,
I understand that you passed a blood clot and bled for only one day.
Considering that the
pregnancy was three months, this amount of bleeding is less. Also abortion pills work best within 49 days of the last menstrual period. The chances of having an
incomplete abortion after that are high. Also, they must be taken under medical supervision and after ensuring that facilities for a surgical evacuation procedure are available when needed.
Sometimes the pregnancy occurs in location outside the
uterus like the tubes. So this needs to be excluded before taking pills. This again reiterates the need for the pills to be taken strictly under medical supervision.
Please do not be scared. It is most likely an incomplete abortion. I suggest that you consult a doctor and get an examination as well as an
ultrasonography urgently to look at the status of pregnancy. If it is an incomplete abortion, you will need a surgical evacuation.
Hope this was helpful.
Thanks for using HCM.
I am here for any queries that you may have.
Take care.
