How Often Can Cortisone Shot Be Taken For Damage In The Rotator Cuff In The Shoulder Which Is Painful?
I had mri and it shown damage to rotator cuff in left shoulder. I was given cortisone shot and almost immediately felt better. that was about 2 mo. ago and my shoulder is starting to hurt again. how often can I safely return for shot. I am 51 yo and do not wish to have surgery if at all possible.

I can understand this the steroid shot can be taken no more than three shots within six months of periods more over this is not the curative therapy, you have to find out the exact cause of your complain and underlying cause should be treated, hope this information helps you take care and have nice day.
