How Safe In A Biopsy For An Elderly Woman?
My mom is 89 years old we just discovered she have 2 tumors in her brain one size 4 cm not sure of the other. The doctors advise they re bleeding not severely. At her age what are the risk of a biopsy. They are also doing a cat scram of her entire body to make sure there aren t anymore tumors.

Your mother is having brain tumour. Although risk is present it is necessary to rule out cancer growth. For that biopsy is essential and histopathological evaluation should be done. CT scan will rule out any metastatisis if present.
