How Safe Is Lyrica For Fibromyalgia?

I have just been diagnosed with fibromyalgia after many years od pain meds, inj.s,even muscle cauterization y pain specialist. After long period of time trying hydocodone, percocet, even methadone along with different dosages and types of muscle relaxers finally Dr. gave me Lyrica. Now taking 75 mg.-1 twice daily. It has helped but still at times suffer spasms, muscle twitching and sleep problems. I hesitate in asking Dr. for larger dosage as I don t really understand how Lyrica works. I also take 10 mg. of Prozac daily. My thought processes seem clearer. should I ask for higher dosage or Add something else for more relief?

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
You are under treatment for fibromyalgia, and got relief to some extent. The drugs, lyrica, and prozac ar centrlly acting , so if some muscle relaxant is used, you will be comfortable.
I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms neurotropic injections for 10 consecutive days, and then periodically for ever, and the muscle relaxant pain killer like diclophenac sodium long acting daily one.
Avoid taking potato, other tubers, tomato, egg, chicken, and sea foods.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
