I am Dr Mittal
I have read your query
And will try to help you
First, I disagree with your doctor.
Anything that is causing
stress to you, can be a fact.
I also disagree that high dose vit D is needed.
I have a different suggestion if you need to go with vitamin D
You can take low dose Vitamin D- usually 1000 instead of 60000/1 Lac.
These are usually available in combination with calcium
So make sure your other calcium tablets are off
As for calcium levels, if you are on them, the levels may be high.
so dont worry about that.
most docs give vit D with calcium, so i am assuming that your dr would have prescribed them too
in favor of your doctor, the bodyache due to vitamin D is indeed infrequent.
So I think you should also try to find out if you have another cause of pain.
Try the low dose vitamin d, to be taken daily.
likely you will be comfortable on them.
You can continue them for 6 weeks and then try the vit D test again
also
suggest KFT (including uric acid), sugars,
lipid profile, HbA1C- if not tested recently
Best of luck
