How Safe Is Taking Lexapro For Anxiety?
My doctor prescribed me lexapro 10 mgs 1 tab a day for anxiety, but I forgot to ask her if it s ok with methadone. I m on 82 mgs of methadone and want to make sure before I take the lexapro that it won t effect me being on the methadone. Thank You, Tracy

there are no significant interaction of lexapro with methadone..so you can take it while you are on methadone treatment,,
but I feel your treating doctor shud know that you are on methadone treatment.
so, visit your doctor again and tell details about your methadone treatment..and listen to hid advice and follow it..
as such there is no contraindication in taking lexapro with methadone..

Using Lexapro together with methadone can increase the risk of an irregular heart rhythm that may be serious and potentially life-threatening, although it is a relatively rare side effect.
You may be more susceptible if you already have a heart disease.
You should seek immediate medical attention if you develop sudden dizziness, light-headedness, fainting, shortness of breath, or heart palpitations during treatment with these medications, whether together or alone. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
