How Safe Is Taking Duromine For Weight Loss?
Hi My Dr has me on duromine 30mg daily for weight loss. I was 121kg and am now down to 109kg. I have been trying to get to less than 110kg as for work I require a helicopter transit and the seating is for 110KG or less. I have a medical in 5 days which will require a urine drug and alcohol test. I have been on Duromine for 2 months, how long will it take to be clear on a urine sample? My goal weight is less that 100kg.

Good Morning,Welcome to HCM! Duromine contains phentermine which is an effective prescription appetite suppressant. Its administration operates on the theory that if you are not as hungry you will not eat as many high calorie foods or such large portions.
It does show up as a false-positive on a drug screen.lt should not confirm positive for amphetamine or be reported as positive through the military drug testing program.
Nevertheless, the key is CONFIRM. To answer your question, amphetamines take about 72 hours to clear urine and I have been informed that the same is true for phentermine. IF something goes wrong and you turn up with a false positive, which you shouldn't, insist that a confirmation be done. I am not familiar with military procedures in drug testing.
