How Safe Is Taking Hydrocodone For Fibromylgia?

I have been diagnosed with fibromylgia for the past 4 years. I have been taking hydrocodone 10/500 mg 2 pills 3x per day to control the pain. My doctor told me that my sed rate is 62 and for the past 5 years it has ranged 52 to 120. I am 11 weeks pregnant and I have tapered my hydrocodone intake down to half, however the pain is getting worse. My doctor wants me to completely get off the pain medications, but I am in so much pain and plain tylenols do not work.
