I had an ultrasound that reported "Thickened and somewhat heterogeneous endometrium with a small hypoechoic area within the endometrial canal which could represent a small amount of fluid or a cystic lesion." There is also a 1.7 cm complex right ovarian cyst. I don't have my next appointment for another week and am wondering if/how serious are these issues? Thank you.
Hi, Welcome to HCM. Seriousness of ultrasound findings depend on your age, past history & present symptoms. If age is more than 50 years &/OR there is history of irregular bleeding, these findings need complete evaluation. Otherwise cyst is small one & should not bother you. Regards.
