How Serious Is A Shooting Pain From Lower Rib Cage And Radiates Through Chest And Arms ?

When I m sitting down, hunched over or curled up, sometimes I have a shooting pain that comes from my lower rib cage and shoots pain in an instant through my chest and my arms. It happens only when I m sitting down. I m really worried about what could be happening and how serious it could be.

As your symptoms are occuring only during specific movments involving your torso and not at rest, it could be due to a pinched nerve. There may not be a serious underlying cause.

To be on the safer side, I suggest you to approach a Neurophysician for further evaluation and management.
