How Should Cytotec Be Taken?

It is my first pregnancy. It is not that I am sure but I did not have my period on time.So I am using cytotec. I swallowed one, had 3 under my tongue and 1 vaginal.Still no results. What should I do? And is it safe to take 4 pills under my tongue which gives a total of 800 mg?

OB and GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

If you are pregnant then how you will get your periods?

And if you are sure about the pregnancy then I suggest you go for a USG before taking medication as sometimes the embryo starts developing outside the uterus like in the tube which is called an ectopic pregnancy or tubal pregnancy which is a medical emergency and needs to operate. and if it’s in the uterus then you can continue taking the medication orally, you don’t have to keep it sublingual. You have to soak the tablet in clean water and have kept it per vaginal (deep down in the vagina). You can also keep 4 tabs together.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
