How Should I Stop Climaval Without Suffering From Hot Flushes And Night Sweats?

I would like to stop taking HRT as I am now 62 years old. I am on 1mg Climaval, I know my GP would like me to stop but the last time I tried I suffered with hot flushes, night sweats and sleepless nights. My GP practice has informed me they have stopped making Climaval and my GP would like to discuss an alternative. I don t want to come off it and go cold turkey and I don t want a mild antidepressant either, what would you suggest?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

The hot flashes that you experience are due to a hormonal deficit that is brought upon by menopause. HRT thus helps to replace the drop in hormones, and so if the hormones are discontinue, the only other alternative we have are anti-depressants sadly.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
