How Should Meftagesic And Mefenamic Acid Be Taken?

my son had fever 102.1 doctor recomended meftagesic tablet 500mg mafanamic acid and paracetemol 325mg for my 4 yr old son of 14.30kg weight.doctor told to give 1/2 tablet at 6 hours interval.at evening 6pm 1/2 tablet i gave to my child at 6-45pm fever was not there and night 12pm again i gave 1/2 tablet.my question is sir if fever come done temperature is normal then also i gave next day morning 8am 1/2 tablet and 1/2 tablet at afternoon 2pm and night 9pm 1/2 tablet.then i completely stopped meftagesic tablet.is it right.

Yes, it is exactly right, that is antipyretic and analgesic drugs which help to reduce the fever and body ache, and it can be taken 6 hourly but for child 1/2 should be given such as in your case.
