I understand your concern.
However if there is a
pregnancy you will have to see a doctor, get and examination and confirm the duration of pregnancy, rule out a condition called ectopic pregnancy [pregnancy in tubes where it is not possible to give
abortion tablets] and then see if it is possible to take abortion tablets.
The pills are mifepristone and
misoprostol, but the dosage depends upon the duration of pregnancy. They work till 63 days after the last menstrual period. A small percentage of women may have excessive bleeding, retained products inside and infection and may need a surgical procedure. Hence medical supervision is important.
Most of the women have a safe abortion and hence the drugs are safe is used as prescribed by a doctor and after completing the above formalities.
