How To Clear Up A Rash That Arches With Neck Below The Beardline?

Hey, I have what looks like to be a rash that arches with my neck just below my beard line no matter if I shave or have facial hair. It has been there for years - so long that I don t even remember when it came to be. It doesn t impact my life, but if there is a way to clear it up, I would be happier for sure.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a tinea barbae which is a fungal infection. I suggest using an anti-fungal cream for local application such as Clotrimazole cream. I also suggest using Fluconazole 159 mg as oral treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
