How To Confirm Bleeding Due To Ovulation Cycle?

Hi, I have a 20 month old breast feed and just stopped the mini pill Nora-b (believe generic for Errin) a couple weeks ago. My last 5 weeks or so I had three bleeding spells of 5-7 days each. From the first day of bleeding till the first day of the next bleed was 13 days. The first two spells were lighter with the third being about like a period I think. The last period I had prior to this was before I conceived my last/first child. At the end of the third bleeding I stopped taking the pill to try to conceive #2. This last bleed was amost seven days in length, the first day was just light onset in the evening. Day three and four after stopping the pill I had one single wipe worth of spotting. Do you think this was ovulation spotting already? With the other three bleeds so close together do you think any of them could have been related to an ovulating cycle yet? I haven t had any other withdrawl bleeding. If it was ovulation spotting and I ovulated the day following the two spots I would be 10 dpo now.

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,

The bleeding that you are having is likely to be irregular periods rather than ovulation. There can be a mild hormonal disturbance that can cause such a bleeding.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Rakhi Tayal, OBGYN
