Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi..My husband is behaving too strange these days. He can not control his anger these days. he becomes almost like someone else, shouts, hurls abuses and breaks things. These days his office stress has also increased. What could be the reason? He sleeps very less and gets up like at 3 AM and does all breaking and shouting kind of stuff. Life has become a nightmare and there seems to be no solution please help
He is showing symptoms like uncontrollable anger and irritability. To some extent mild increase in anger or irritability can be considered as normal but he is showing other symptoms like violent behaviour, breaking things, shouting on everyone etc. These symptoms along with poor sleep can occur due to some mood disorder or possibly mania of bipolar disorder. But presence of these symptoms is not sufficient to make final diagnosis. I would advise you to visit a psychiatrist for help.
For anger sodium valproate, Lithium carbonate etc medicines are commonly used. These drugs help to stabilise mood and reduce anger. Visit a psychiatrist for prescription of these drugs.
Thanks, hope this helps you.
