Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How To Control Elevated BP And White Count And Very Low B12?
I have elevated bp, loss of appetite, am very tired all the time and a little foggy. Recent blood work shows an elevated white count and very low b12? I have had several b12 shots along with a vitamin Iv. I am gluten intolerant and am on thyroid medicine but healthy otherwise
Thanks for the query. The elevated blood pressure may be independent from the other issues, and more so related with B12 defficiency; now, another wise thing to do since you are on thyroid supplementation is make sure that your TSH is within normal limits, because hypothyroidism can be associated with hypertension, particulalrly diastolic (lower number over 90).
Hope this helps, wish you the best,
