Hello,
Elevated albumin in urine suggests that the patient is suffering fom diabetic nephropathy. This occurs after many years of uncontrolled diabetes.Keeping blood pressure and blood sugar levels in control is the priority in patients with diabetic nephropathy.
ACE INHIBITORS like CAPTAPRIL is added to the treatment to reduce the intraglomerular pressure ( pressure inside the kidneys ),inspite of blood pressure being normal, because it helps to reduce the albumin secretion.
Carry on the treatment as advised.
You are advised to avoid nephrotoxic drugs like pain killers.
Thanks
