How To Control High Blood Sugar?

I am diabetic with well controlled blood sugar, I keep good numbers with Levimir (36 units per day) and Novalog on a sliding scale. Yesterday I was prescribed Prednisone 4 mg tablets and tonight my blood sugar just tested at 288 I am very concerned, what should I do? I took 6 units of Novolg but it doesn't seem to be lowering my blood sugar...help.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern you are diabetic patient, why you are being prescribed "prednisolone" it is to be questioned, because without the proper reason this should not be given and this is necessary then great care has to be taken for blood sugar, in my opinion you better discus this with the physician, hope this information helps you, take care and have nice day.
