How To Control Weight Gain Due To Irregular Periods ?
Hello mam I did not have my periods since 3months and I have pcos and I got married last year September and I even checked my pregnancy it was -ve so can u suggest what can I do and I am gaining my weight please help me out am not taking any medication
Weight reduction is the most important in the treatment of PCOS. Hence diet control and daily exercise are important. You must avoid fatty foods and restrict intake of oils. You must take plenty of green leafy vegetables and fruits which are having low calories; they can help in reducing your weight. You must also undertake brisk walking for at least 4 km a day. You must also undertake certain tests such as FSH level, prolactin and thyroid hormones which will help to know whether you are ovulating. Without ovulation you cannot become pregnant and you need medicines to have regular ovulation. Therefore i suggest that in addition to weight reduction and exercise you must have a proper check up with a gynaecologist, so that you may conceive at the earliest.
