How To Cure Bloating/ Persistent Pressure In The Abdomen In A 35 Yo Male?

I am a 35 year old male with no known allergies or GI issues. Two weeks ago, I had an achy back and some indigestion/burning at the base of my throat. This eased off within a days time. Over the course of that week, I started noticing more pressure in my abdomen and the need to burp increasing. For the past week, I have felt significant bloating/pressure in my abdomen, accompanied by the need to release small burps randomly throughout the day. I was given an ultrasound to check my gall bladder for stones and there were none.

I am starting to get very nervous about this, as I've never had such symptoms unless I had a stomach bug, and never for so long of a period. Sometimes the bloating eases a bit, but never completely goes away. My urination appeared like it has small bubbles....not frothy as could be considered normal. But, maybe I am over scrutinizing that part.

My family doctor told me (3 days ago) to wait a bit longer and see if the pain goes away on its own. The burping appears to be less, but the pressure in my abdomen has not completely subsided. I have no history of any GI problems, nor urinary tract infections, nor reflux issues. I am not overweight. I am not sure what my next step should be. I haven't had any actual pain, per se....but the bloating alone feels so unbearable at times.

Thank you for any help or suggestions,

Joe

Hi. Gone through your elucidate history. The symptoms you have mentioned are more commonly observed in anxiety disorders. This is not uncommon with the stress of the life. If you have no stress factor we can think of another reasons. As the sonography is normal , there is not much to worry. You can try tablets like Ranitidine, Domperidone and an antacid as per your Doctor's advise. May be an anxioytic if your Doctor thinks too.
