Hello. Thanks for asking form HCM.
I can understand your concern. It is good that she is conscious, oriented and no other symptoms except headache at bump site and bruises. Dangerous
head injury has already been ruled out which is good for her.
Now coming to the complaints of bump and bruises, you can ask her to follow few tips
: She is already using icepacks at bump side which is good.
: Keep her head at higher level than chest to reduce bump
: Avoid pressure at injury site
: You can give her painkiller like
Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription. It reduces pain and swelling both
: Wait for 10 to 14 days, bump and bruise will subside on its own.
: In case of
vomiting, turn her head to side.
Hope it will help her. If her selling persists even after 2 weeks or increase in size, you should
consult doctor to rule out collection (blood or pus). The collection is treated by surgical
drainage or observation.
Thanks. Take care.
