How To Cure Hearing Loss After Poking Ear With Pin?
i had an ear operation when i was 7 in which they took some skin from behind my ear and made me and ear drum or something because my real one was bust. So I was deafish anyway but they gave me a hearing aid but cos I was little I found it embarassing to wear and just got used to my hearing without the aid. Anyway the other day I was watching TV and my hearing all of a sudden went so low that I had to turn the volume up even higher, I think it might be to do with me poking my ear the night before with a bobby pin because it felt itchy. Im 17 so I need to be able to hear the teachers at college, please help! Shall I see a doctor, will my hearing come back?
Sorry to hear your trouble. I thing at the age you get operated may be for an unsafe ear and at such a small age and for the surgery its unpredictable to say about hearing post surgery.
Hope may be there if your sensation of hearing perception by its nerve is still well and serviceable.
I suggest you to have audiogram and a physical examination for your ear. If it favours to benefit your hearing you may have a second look surgery else you need to wear hearing aid.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
