How To Cure Hives?

I returned from Costa Rica two weeks ago, and while there I started to break out in minimal hives. I ve never had hives or any allergic reaction. But, since I returned they ve gotten much worse. They only really happen in the evenings and I don t know what to do.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

With such presentation in my clinic, I would start patient on antihistaminic tablet daily for at least 2 weeks to suppress the urticaria. If patient doesn't respond the I will increase the dose of anti-histamines or will change the antihistamine. I would suggest you to visit a dermatologist so treatment can be started.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Deepti Shukla, Dermatologist
