How To Cure Lower Back Pain After Aortic Valve Replacement?

hello - my husband has low back pain after aortic valve replacement and the right artery replaced with a vein (bypass) after artery got crimped during surgery. He is also very winded and finds it laborous to breathe after walking 10 minutes twice a day. Is this to be expected? Thanks

hello,
First for his shortness of breath, he ll need one echocardiography to look for heart function.
In the treatment, he should have fluids including water tea milk coffee etc restriction to minimum and salt restriction as well. He ll also needs drugs like torsemide or furosemide, which increases Urine output and decreases fluids in lungs.
For low back pain, we need to find the cause first, for that x-ray LS spine AP/Lat is needed, till then he should have calcium and vitamin D supplements like shelcal HD and enzoflam gel for local application. Also, hot water fomentation etc will be helpful.
