How To Cure Recurring Ear Pain And Swelling Even After Having Antibiotic?

I keep getting ear pain with swelling inside , the dr did use an antibiotic last time then two weeks later it came back , I work in a steel mill where there is a lot of micro powder and it does get in the ears even though we use ear plugs , I shower daily and try to keep the ears clean

I read your query regarding Recurring pain and swelling in your ear. Though as you said that your working place is having micro dust that may also be responsible for recurrent infection in ear. But there are so many causes for recurrent infection like-

1- Dandruff in scalp.

2- Wax in ear.

3- recurrent cold.

4- Diabetes also some times give rise to recurrent ear infection.

5- micro trauma in ear due to habit of ear cleaning by q-tip or key.

But in spite of all above presumption a thorough examination of ear is must and than some necessary investigations may also be helpful in making correct diagnosis that may be accordingly plan treatment.
