I fell down a staircase (13 wooden stairs) twelve days ago. I was banged up and had to get seven staples in my head, no broken bones. I had a two cat scans nothing. About two days ago I had a sharp shooting pain in my ear and there is still a dull pain in my ear. Could this be from the fall?
I have gone through your query regarding sharp shooting pain in your ear along with dull pain contineous in the ear . you hadfell down from woden stairs but there is no fracture in skull bones only soft tissue injure is there and that had been taken care of.
As per your clinical history there is possibility of traumatic perfration of ear drum or there may be inflammation of jaw joint (TMJ). these two may give rise to ear pain and c.t. may be normal.
I would like to suggest you to consult your ENT doctor for thorough examination and necessary investigations to pin point the diagnosis that may be accordingly manage
Regards.
