It is highly unlikely that strep infection was the primary cause of recurrent skin lesion on the foot since teenage.
Eczema or allergic lesions (due to contact with an allergen such as synthetic socks, stockings or shoes or environmental allergens), which disrupts the skin, enables bacteria to enter and cause bacterial infection.
Other cause can be
gout, which too can present in the similar manner.
In any case, you need to
consult a dermatologist who will examine the foot lesion, reach to the exact cause and prescribe appropriate treatment.
in the meanwhile, you may use an ointment containing an antibiotic + a
steroid for at least 2 weeks (or more- till the lesion disappears completely), which will take care of lesion, irrespective of the cause.
