How To Determine The Paternity Of A Fetus?

Hi there. I ve just got an enquiry. Im 90% sure who my babys dad is. Im 29 weeks pregnant. I conceived on or around the 16th of Feb 2015 with my parter. When I did a pregnancy test I was about 3 weeks pregnant and I had intercourse with another person after finding out I was pregnant but we used protection. Is the babys dad definitely my partner?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Since you were already 3 weeks pregnant while having sex with your second partner, the first partner with whom you had sex appears to be the father of your child however a DNA paternity test will confirm who is the actual biological father.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
