Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am in the early stages of a bladder infection and cannot get appointment with my doctor. What can I do to help with the symptoms at this point? I am trying to avoid urgent care. I have had bladder infections in the past and all symptoms are consistent with the diagnosis.
A urine routine examination is the simple test to look for the presence of bladder infection. Presence of the bacteria in the urine indicates infection somewhere in the urinary tract. Most cases respond well to antibiotics. If there is diagnostic confusion a cystoscopic examination must be done. Consult a urologist and he will direct you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
