Hello,

First of all let us summarize your symptoms:
Some days you are fine and other days you are dull.
I shall define Bipolar disorder and enlist the symptoms so that you can know by yourself if you are suffering from it.

Bipolar disorder:
Bipolar 1 disorder pure mania or mixed manic episodes for at least 1 week then major depressive episode for 2 weeks. Recurrent in 90% of individuals with violent behavior, school/occupational failure, divorce, episodic antisocial behavior.
Bipolar 2 disorder hypomania for 4 days and 1 or 2 episodes of major depression for 2 weeks.
A diagnosis of any of these bipolar disorders requires first that the presence of a mood disturbance has been ascertained, and that other causes of the symptoms observed have been ruled out.

The following are the other causes of mood disturbances:
1) Other medical conditions underlying like multiple sclerosis, hypothyroidism
2) Substance abuse

These conditions are to be ruled out. Certainly the psychiatrist would ask you questions to evaluate your mood changes to determine if they are significant enough to label them as bipolar disorder. My suggestion would be as follows:
1) Meditate daily for at least 5 mins.
2) Daily physical exercises for 45 mins/day at least 5 days a week.
3) If you feel your mood disturbances are extreme and really worsening, you can go see a psychiatrist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
