I just got report of blood for widal test as follows Widal test Salmonella Agglutination test Microorganisms 1st titer 2nd titer a.Salmonella typhi O antigen 1:80 agglutination titer b.Salmonella typhi H antigen 1:80 agglutination titer c. Salmonella typhi A H antigen 1:80, agglutination titer d.Salmonella typhi B H antigen 1:80, agglutination titer what does it mean do i have typhoid or not
hi there, was the test done after a week of you feeling unwell because 1:80 titer is not significant for typhoid if done in the second week of the illness. You may not be suffering from typhoid but you could repeat the test next week and check if the titers are rising which could signify disease. For now 1:80 titer does not signify typhoid.
