Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have gap between my front incisor teeth which has increased over the last year. I dont like it and want it to be filled. I had a brace treatment when I was 15 because my front teeth were protruding out. Someone told me that if I fill the gap my teeth will move even further due to the filing. Is it true?
As per your complain in case if you have gap between the front two incisor teeth ( known as DIASTEMA) the best way to close it permanently is by orthodontic treatment that is by braces.. For which you need to consult an Orthodontist..
In case you dont want to get an ortho treatment done and want an immediate treatment you can get filling done on both the incisors by tooth coloured resin based filling material like Composite Resin..
You can also get the capping of the incisors done to cover up the gap.
Hope this information helps..
