How To Get Off The Xanax Drug?
How can someone SAFELY get off of this drug? This is for a friend of mine. This friend has been on .25 mg. for quite a few years...and she takes more than is necessary. And now, her dr. has issued scripts for several other "anti depressants", in the effort to wean her off of Xanax. I , personally, am against these drugs. This "friend" is my daughter. Please, help me with some advice. Thank you.

Hi,
xanax is anxiolytic antidepesant drug which has very less dependency liability but as she was on it over a year has caused the problem . Once dependence develops patient can't straight away leave the drug and only left gradually with similar acting drug having least drug dependency liability so have faith on it doc.
In any case if you have doubt you can take second opinion or visit rehab centre.
