How To Get Rid Of Anxiety, Shaky Hands And Fast Heartbeat?
Hi, I am 21 yrs old, 5ft4 .I suffer from anxiety and when I am in social situations my heart beats very fast and I have shaky hands etc. I had a 24 hr ECG and my doctor said my heart rythem was fine. He's given me a beta blocker - Bisoprolol Fumarate but this seems to be a long term drug for things like heart faliure. So you think this is the correct beta blocker that I should take as my heart rate doesn't get that fast that often? thank you.
you are having situational anxiety more precisely called as performance anxiety..for taht you shud take beta blocker like propranolol, you shud not take bisoprolol because it is not approved for anxiety and it self it can cause anxiety because it is centrally acting drugs..it has not been well tested for its effects on anxiety..
if you have social shyness that is what it is called then consult a psychiatrist or counsellor, go for sessions and for situations like social gatherings you can take propranolol as and when required basis...
i hope this will be helpful..best of luck..
