How To Get Rid Of Back Pain And Cramping Post Radiation Treatment For Breast Cancer?
Am 64 years old/young. Just finished radiation treatment after segmentectomy for breast cancer. Had pap and gynecological work up before starting anastrole. Wasn't till followup appt 2 months later doctor came in and wanted to do biopsy because endometrial cells on pap (16 years menopausal). I had no idea wasn't called with results. Doctor was unable to do biopsy because of severe stenosis. Had repeat of TVUS last week. While one 3 months ago was uncomfortable this one was VERY painful. Still having cramping and back pain. 1st one was normal with endometrium measuring 4mm. No results yet - see doctor this next week. What if anything should be done now?
Hello Anastrazole tab which your are taking for breast cancer may cause osteoporosis (bone resorption and hence aches and weakness) and it may cause joint pains also. To diagnose and prevent osteoporosis you can discuss with your physician for DEXA Scan (to check bone mineral density) and if osteoporosis present you can get bisphosphonate treatment. you can get bisphophonate treatment even to prevent osteoporosis also. Along with that you should take daily calcium and Vitamin D Supplement also. In case of severe pain you can get temporarily relief from analgesics like paracetamol. Regarding your PAP results and Other gynaecological tests on the basis reports or result only i will be able to suggest further. Gynaecological tests are done as part of screening cancer of gonadal areas.
