How To Get Rid Of Bitter Taste In Mouth Post Silver Nitrate Treatment For Teeth?
I got a silver nitrate treatment done on my teeth today at my dentist. ITs making me feel kida sick to my stomach, and when i tried to brush it of my teeth it wont all come off, and i cant stand the bitter taste. They didnt warn me of this and I can't get ahold of the dentsist office who puut it on. How do I get this bitter taste out of my mouth?
As per your query you underwent silver nitrate treatment for teeth in your mouth and your are experiencing bitter taste in mouth which is mainly because if its gets spilled in oral cavity or on gums it causes desensitization of nerve endings and due to that damage in nerve endings it causes loss of normal taste and gives bitter taste. Silver nitrate fillings are most easy method to prevent caries but material should be confined to restricted cavity area.
I would suggest you to visit dentist again and get application of desensitizing agent to regenerate nerve endings. Use citrus substances such as lemon, orange and suck them properly to get back to normal taste. Maintain basic oral hygiene to prevent any harmful microbial flora to settle in mouth.
Use antibiotic mouth wash such as Listerine two times a day. Keep brushing and flossing daily.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
