How To Get Rid Of Ingrown Hair At The Sides Of The Neck ?

My name is Gerald Gaherty and I live in Union Point, Georgia. For close to a year I have had many, what looks like in-grown hairs, on the sides and back of my neck. They fester and have to be drained, and are quite unsightly. I have drain them and put Neosporin on them but it does very little good. Do you know what they are caused by and can suggest a treatment to get rid of them ?

Hi,

Ingrown hair is a cumbersome condition to treat. The shaft of the hair which getting into the skin should be removed. Each ingrown hair should be removed gradually. Apply antibiotic cream like sisomycine cream if there is an infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilyas Patel, Dermatologist
