Hi and thanks for askinh in HCM forum. The normal size of a mature follicle to conceive is between 18 - 20 mm. Follicles are woman's eggs that are develop inside the ovaries. Several follicles begin to enlarge around when a woman begin to have her menstruation. Absence of dominant follicle however is not a good sign. You should consider reporting back to your treating obstetrician for further investigations like complete hormonal work-up to look for the underlying cause. Since your reports does not show any cysts in ovaries then getting you started on ovulation inducers can be considered to help you have maturation of more than 1 egg at a time which will increase pregnancy chances. This treatment should be monitored and followed up with follicular scan (follicle growing upto 18-20mm is considered to be ready for ovulation) to help you time your intercourse to have fruitful results. Be in regular follow-up with your gynecologist/obstetrician. All the best. Regards.
