I am 30 years old ,for last three year i have small pus formation on lower part of my head and near the sidelock area between the hair follicle i have been using foli fast and clindamycin phosphate but no improvement , is there a way to cure completely
Hello, Thanks for the query. Folliculitis is a bacterial infections. Treatment is with antibiotics but the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests. Please meet a dermatologist and request to do culture and sensitivity test on pus obtained from the lesion for exact diagnosis. Once the exact bacteria is known, specific treatment can be given. Improper use of antibiotic can lead to resistance.
