How To Heal A Wound On Chin?

Good day! I was applying salicylic acid to some portions on my chin, the day after it got dark and very dry, so I tried to get rid of it and rubbed it until the skin fell off and underneath, there is a reddish layer but not bleeding. What must I do to make it grow back and how long will it grow back? I applied apple cider vinegar btw to sooth the wound.

Hi.
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain it seems that due to vigorous rubbing of the skin there is tearing off the skin leading to inflamed raw underlying area of the skin..
You need not to worry as it will get healed gradually but can take from ten days to two weeks for it to resolve..
You can apply antibiotic ointment over it to prevent infection..
You can also do cool compresses over it..
You can also apply steroid ointment in case if there is burning sensation..
You should avoid touching or scratching the area again and again as it can lead to further infection as well as there can be delayed healing..
Another important tip that I would like to give you is that you should always apply a small portion of any cream or ointment that you are using for the first time over the inner aspect of forearm..
It will help to check for allergic reactions..
In case if there is no reaction in 48 hours then you can apply over face..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
