I have had a rash appear on my neck and chest. I tried to figure out what I have done differently, and first thought it was my son s new sweet puppy s flea shampoo. But even when they both went back to college, I have not been able to shake it. I am currently training for a half ironman race and have been taking warm baths in epsom salts and wonder if that is a common trigger. (I will also share that I am extremely sensitive to poison ivy and sulfur)
You seem to have developed an allergic skin disease. You should avoid applying any kind of skin irritants like dettol, spirit over it. From the sites that you have mentioned, even the possibility of a sun induces photosensitive skin rash can be kept.
You might need to apply a topical steroid cream over the affected area twice a day for few days. Use a sunscreen regularly. Take some oral antihistamines along. See a nearby dermatologist if the condition tends to persist despite this therapy. You might need a course of oral steroids.
Hope it helps,
