Hi just had ct of sinus done, says all looks okay but atropic right frontal sinus And miminal disease in the left ethmoid. Had surgery a couple of years ago, inferior tubinectomy and urcinectomy. Suffering from ear pain and paritiod gland pain about every two weeks for the last six months. Very painful and little warning when it hits, settles with ear drops, antibiotics and antihistime but very painful usually for about 24 hours, can't touch ear area when it happens as is so tender.x thanks for your advise.x
from your ct report , it looks like that you are having a mild infection in your sinuses and this unlikely to cause the ear pain. You may be having what is called as recurrent parotitis or recurent infection of the external ear , and there can be many reasons for this including high sugar level or decrease in your immune status. please dont worry and meet your immunologist or ent doctor for further advice and guidance. Thanks
