Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I injured my left knee approximately a month ago playing tennis. It appears to be a soft tissue injury (in one or more places). Although very painful, I was able to put some weight on it and my doctor didn't think an MRI was warranted. It began healing until I reinjured it a couple of weeks ago moving it the wrong way around my home. It has begun healing well with almost no pain unless I walk up or especially downstairs. I used RICE and am doing appropriate muscle strengthening exercises. (I know I should also lose weight.) Is there any timeline I should use before playing tennis again? Will my knee always be prone to reinjury no matter what I do?

How To Heal Soft Tissue Injury On Left Knee?
Hi, I have read your query. You should try to avoid playing for one more month. Let your soft tissue heal properly. Apply hot packs for 30 mins in morning and evening. Keep on doing quadriceps strengthening exercise for one month more. Yes your knee will prone to injury more than normal, so you should be more careful vin future. I hope you have get your answer.
