Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I whacked my tibia against the steel tow hitch sticking out of the U-haul. It was VERY PAINFUL and i am usually quite good with pain tolerance. I did this to both legs and had large lumps on both shins. I had to keep working for about 3 weeks and every day I had swollen legs like edema. the first week of course, my feet were bluish with the blood draining. Now the lumps are smaller, and i have finally been able to rest for a few days so no edema like swelling. I am icing it and resting. Once when playing rugby i fractured my femur and luckily it didn t hit the artery (just went about a third of the way through). I developed a large calcification which is still there a bit. Just wondering what i may do to speed up the healing and prevent further problems as I do enjoy dancing. thank you doctor
