How To Identify Common Bug Bites?

I was stung just now. The skin around the bite is raised with a hole in the middle, there are 2 bites about an inch apart and could not see what bit me. I was walking my dog on the grass and it was under dress on my leg. How do I identify what stung or bit me?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to a bug bite.

They are characterized by swelling, redness or rash, pain in the affected area or in the muscles, itching, heat on and around the site of the bite or sting, numbness or tingling in the affected area.

I suggest using Calamine lotion for local application.

I also suggest using Cetirizine to relieve the itching.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
