Hi i am chandra, my daugther ( 1year and 10 months old ) is in typhoid now. S TYPHI 1:80 pOSITIVE AND S TYPHI 1:80 POSITIVE. HER lymphocytes is 56% , RBC is 5.2 and CRP is positive more than 32. These are my results. is there anything to worry about?>
Hello and welcome to HCM, The interpretation of your test results are as follows: The widal test for typhoid shows presence of antibody titres A and O against Salmonella typhi are 1:80. The antibody titres above 1:80 are significant, thus the test is negative for typhoid. The Widal test becomes negative if you have taken any antibiotic.
The red blood cell count of 5.2 million per cubic millimeter is within normal limits. The lymphocytes at 56% is high, however, a total leukocyte count is required for interpretation. A raised CRP level upto 32 suggests presence of some inflammatory process in body. It has to be interpreted keeping in view the clinical symptoms.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
