Hi,I am Neethu Vipin (Dietitian & Nutritionist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I'm 17, have been on birth control for almost 3 years. I cannot lose ANY of the weight I've gained. It's not a little, its ALOT. I went from around 115 lbs to 161 lbs. It's soo depressing. I've got prom, senior class trip & graduation coming up. I've been getting the DEPO shot. I just don't know what to do anymore. I've cut down on food consumption & increased exercise. I just don't know anymore. It's just very depressing. I've read about switching birth controls but then I will have to deal with other side-effects & getting my period again. Any suggestions? The more the better! Thanks so much, it's really appreciated!
HI well come to HCM You are just 17 years old and from now you are on hormone therapy, this is the molecules which increases the weight, as long as you go on taking this medicine you would be put on more weight, in my opinion you need to stop the hormone medicines, that would be the first thing you need to do, take care.
