Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a female 39 years of age. I have changed eating habits, no sugar, fast food, carbs and even processed foods for a time. Ive also included exercise and I still cannot lose the weight around my stomach. I recently had bloodwork and was told to lay off the carbs because I'm reaching a diabetic level. had my thyroid tested and I was borderline. I'd like to see someone besides my primary care, as I fear this may have to do with "the change" and I wonder if this sounds likely?
1. Before starting with the management, please calculate your BMI [body mass index] for a further necessary treatment plan.
2. There is no magic pill in any system of medicine which can help you in reducing weight without the help of lifestyle and dietary modification along with exercise schedule.
Starvation is not the right way to lose weight. Take the right type of diet and eat heartily:
3. Since your thyroid profile and diabetic level are borderline make sure to normalize them since they can act as aggravating factors if not within normal values, also make sure to check with lipid profile.
4. To strengthen and tone inner and outer thigh muscles, abdominal muscles and pelvic muscles Pelvic Floor Exercise like Pelvic floor tensing, Pelvic lift, Bent knee leg raising, Scissors kicks, Bent knee sit-ups are helpful
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Munish Sood
